This bronze medal from 1814, engraved by Jose M. Guerrero, was issued by the Ecclesiastical Chapter of Mexico City and corresponds to a decisive moment: the return of Fernando VII to the throne. After Napoleon's defeat, the king returned to Spain in 1814 and, far from honoring the Constitution of Cadiz, he abolished it and restored absolutism.
