Comisión Nacional Bancaria Medal (1991)

Context

The Comisión Nacional Bancaria was the body that regulated and supervised banking in Mexico before merging, in 1995, with the securities commission to form today's CNBV. This medal commemorates the fourth regional meeting of banking supervision specialists of Latin America and the Caribbean, held in Mexico in 1991, within the region's supervisors' forum whose statutes were approved in Lima in 1982. The design is by Lorenzo Rafael.
